((((((( Sound bwoyeeeeeeeeeeeee! )))))))))

Aside from some heavy music production as of late, jingle-soundbeds have also been something I have the pleasure and privilege of working on for the rhyme animal Chuck D/ RAP station.

Got a nice little project about to kick off which will keep me busy for a minute. Actually I quite enjoy the whole thing. Nice change of pace from doing full tracks. Be sure to check out all the goodness at RAP station. Lots of quality hiphop vibez droppin' there and some nice things on the rise for the 2011 shot! Boh!

Yo Yo - Morning Comes Feat. Ray J Remix duty calls

And it don't stop. For anyone who's been into hiphop since way back in the day then Yo-Yo may ring a bell. Still doing her thang.

Yo-Yo first appeared as a guest on Ice Cube's AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted album in 1990, on the track "It's a Man's World." Cube returned the favor by appearing on "You Can't Play with My Yo-Yo," which was on Yo-Yo's 1991 debut album, Make Way for the MotherlodeShe appeared in the 1991 film Boyz n the Hood, 1993's Menace II Society and a few other urban-oriented films.

Morning Comes is a track that came out a couple of years ago and I have the pleasure of remixing it. On the case with this one and hopefully I can do Yo-Yo proud on this hiphop to D'n'B revamp. Stay tuned...

Reeeeeeeeeeemix pressure commence!

Strong is the sixth studio album from American alternative hip-hop group Arrested Development, released in January 2010. Just finally got thru lilstening to this album. Okay its not hot off the press and been out already a year. Had not heard any of the tracks previously.

2 years ago I may have said and thought hiphop really is dead. However there are still a few soldiers out there who are pushin' their own thing, and thus making me change my mind set on that kind of thinking. Arrested Development be one of them. Pushin' positive vibez with meaningful lyrics. Just a refreshing change from all that generic gangsta rap, that at the end of the day really just is talkin' loud..ain't sayinä nuthin'! So its nice to hear some feel good music and some deep lyrics.

One of the major success stories of 1992, Arrested Development are a progressive rap collective fusing soul, blues, hip-hop, and Sly & the Family Stone-influenced funk with political, socially conscious lyrics. The group was founded in the late '80s by rapper Speech and DJ Headliner, who decided to make the transition to a more positive, Afrocentric viewpoint after hearing Public Enemy. Arrested Development's debut album took its title from the amount of time it took the group to secure a record contract; 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of... produced the hit single "Tennessee," a strongly spiritual track that hit the Top Ten and sparked the album to sell over four million copies.

Bloody is the 6th track on their latest album Strong and now im pushin' fwd on the remix for that and wired baby! The thing that grabbed me most about this track was its  post-def jam Public enemy feel. Pure groove n soul!

Champagne collaboration with Cat Knight

My collaboration entitled "Crazy 4 You" with UK Vocalist Cat Knight  is going to mixdown very shortly. Its been a while in the making but i'm very happy with the end result. Great vocal d'n'b track. Release plans on this are still a little shady and need to be worked out. More news on this release coming soon. Cat has done some smashing tunes. Below is some of her more recent work with the one and only Matrix.

Bloody Monday's

Oh yes. Usually Mondays suck. However, today is not one of those Monday's, and so far its not sucking. Arrested Development has finally hooked me up with remix elements. So my next project to get busy with will be Bloody. When I first heard this tune I thought MAN!!!! What a sick tune. Just super cool to hear such fresh n innovative hiphop. Gonna give this one all I got and get me hands bloody, well hopefully not.Maybe my eardrums =)

The Beat Just Goes Straight On & On

As of late music has really been going great. Like my buddy Fanu said "wish there was more hours in a day" to do this stuff. My d'n'b remix of a hiphop classic (classified topsecret as of still) was finnished today and mixed down. Sounding fat! More information to come on this remix project in the very near future. Thrilled about this one. Gonna be big baby!

It also looks like I will have the pleasure of remixing a tune for Arrested Development.
Still remember them guys from back in the day. They are still bangin' it out and back stronger than ever with some super soulful vibez. There is still hope for hiphop indeed! So just waiting for some files from them, and will commence work on that asap. An honor and a pleasure.

Signing off for now with AD's classic Tennessee..check it!
